Wilhelm Johannsen

Wilhelm Ludvig Johannsen is a botanist Danish, born February 3rd 1857 with Copenhagen and died the November 11th 1927 in this same city.

He works for the agricultural Institute of Copenhagen before sign agriculture at the university of the city. In 1909, it invents the term of Gène (starting from the Greek which gives rise to ). It also conceives the terms of " Genotype " and of " Phenotype " in 1911.
