Wilhelm Giesbrecht

Wilhelm Giesbrecht is a German carcinologist , born in 1854 with Danzig and dead the April 13rd 1913.

It makes its studies with Kiel and passes its doctorate on the Copépode S under the control of Karl August Möbius (1825-1908). He works all his life in the zoological Station of Naples where he becomes the largest specialist in his time of the Copepoda. He studies in particular the collections gathered by forwarding around the world of the Vettor Pisani in 1882 - 1885.
