Wilhelm Gentz
Karl Wilhelm Gentz is a German painter born in Neuruppin the December 9th 1822, died the August 23rd 1890 with Berlin. After studies in Germany and in Antwerp, it entered the workshop of Paul Delaroche. In 1847 it went in Spain and beyond to the Morocco. Return to Paris, allured by the Muslim world it left for the Egypt, via Malta, passing by the Sinai, it discovered minor Asia and the Greek islands, Constatinople then Vienna. Its art evokes the Eastern world of course. Father of Ismaël Gentz.
