Wilfred Hudleston Hudleston (born Simpson) (June 2nd 1828 - January 29th 1909) British geologist is a .
He is the son of John Simpson and Elizabeth Ward sister of Thomas Ward and Eleanor Hudleston. When the Hudleston line dies out in 1867, they change their name into Hudleston.
It publishes several monographs on the gastropodous of the Jurassic and becomes member of the Royal Society the June 12th 1884. It receives the Médaille Wollaston in 1897.
Although mainly interested by the Geology and the Ornithology, it provides the ground and the money necessary to the re-creation, after its destruction by fire in 1904, of the laboratory of marine study of Cullercoats, the Dove Marine Laboratory in 1906.
