Wilfred Eade Agar

Wilfred Eade Agar is a Australian zoologist of British origin , born the April 27th 1882 with Wimbledon and dead the July 14th 1951.

It makes its studies in Sedbergh School of the Yorkshire and with the King' S College of London. During the First World War, it is used for Gallipoli. In 1919, it receives the pulpit of zoology of the Université of Melbourne where it works on the Chromosome S of the marsupials and heredity in the cattle. He contradicts the results of the experiments of William McDougall (1871-1938) intended to prove the Lamarckisme by the heritage in the rats of training.

He becomes member of the Royal Society on May 12th 1921. Agar off receives the Médaille Clarke of the Royal Society New South Wales in 1944.
