Wild planet (park)

wild Planet is a park animalist (or zoological) located at Port-Saint-Father between Noirmoutier, Nantes and Pornic. It opened in 1992 in the middle of a field of 100 ha.

The park includes/understands:

  • a track safari of 10 kilometers which make it possible in its own vehicle to traverse the five continents through 16 zones populated by 200 species of animals such as Antilope S, elephant S, Girafe S, Hippopotame S, Lion S, Loup S, RhinocĂ©ros, Ours, Tigre S or Watusi S. the zones make from 2 to 10 ha.
  • a village of the bush
    • the Parcours Jungle (250 m) makes it possible to see since bridges of lianas high of 3 and 5 m a jungle populated of rhesus monkeys (open in 1997)
    • the islands with the Siamang S and the Flamant S
    • the Arche of the Reptiles , a terrarium for reptiles
    • the Ferme Miniature
  • the marine CitĂ© propose a watery spectacle

The park had a project to open in 2005 a Delphinarium within the park but it fell through.
