Wild Henri

Henri Sauvage (born in 1873 with Rouen, deceased in 1932) was a French architect.

After having studied with the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the fine arts, he collaborated with the architect Charles Sarazin of 1898 in 1912, with which he at a cheap rate founded in 1903 the Public limit company of hygienic residences . He built many social housing. He belonged to the architects integrating the principles " antituberculeux" in the design and the construction of the multifamily apartments.

Friend of Hector Guimard, it was an architect at the same time Art nouveau and modern. Its functional research, with constructions in steps, by no means excluded a taste pronounced for the decorative one.
Many of its works Art nouveau were destroyed.
