Whitesnake

Whitesnake is a British group of Rock , which especially was active in the Années 1980. Its style is related with the Hard rock for the first albums, then slips towards the heavy metal. The group was founded by David Coverdale, former singer of Deep Purple, and has mainly known success in Europe and with the Japan.

During their first years, their music was a hard rock directed towards the Blues. The members also included Jon Lord, Ian Paice of Deep Purple like Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody.

After material changes in the composition of the group, Whitesnake leaves in 1984 Slide it in , which will be platinum album. Whitesnake 1987 will be also an enormous success, in particular with the ballade Is this coils and the piece Here I go again .

The group off reforms in 1989 for the album Slip the Tongue , where the talented guitarist Steve Vai appears, but it will not be a great business success; it is this year at the head of poster for the festival Monsters off Rock'n'roll . After a compilation published in 1990, the group remains inactive until in 1997, year of exit of the album Restless heart .

In 2003 Whitesnake met for a round commemorative of its 25 years of existence. The group meets again in 2006 for a large European round, passing in particular by Toulouse where they make full house, preparing a new album for 2007.
