White Georges
In 1943, the January 2nd, birth of Georges White, wire of Jean and Paulette, small son of Adolphe and Elisa and back small son of Jean Louis White to Borough-in-Bresse in the Ain. In 1981, it is the dedication: Georges Blanc obtains prestigious third star of the guide Michelin and " titrates it; cook of the year " by the famous gastronomical guide of reference Gault-Millau. In 1985, new dedication: it obtains the extremely rare note of 19,5/20 with the Gault-Millau; it had not been reached.
In 1985 it plants a vineyard of 17 ha, with Azé, in the Mâcon are born in Burgundy where it vinifies to him even its own wine and produces 150.000 bottles per annum, with four different wines: the flower of Azenay (70% of its production) in Mâcon villages, the white of Azenay (20%) in Burgundy, crude of Azenay (10%) by creaming Burgundy, and the white of White while sparkling.
In 1990 White Georges, buys the coffee-grocer-bakery of the Charvet-Guyennet family to open the Old Inn : the counterpart of the inn of its great-grandparents at the beginning of last century or it posts a chart of traditional gastronomy Bressane. It also buys seventeen houses around its restaurant in the center of Vonnas and creates its “greedy village” which it restores in architecture with Colombage bressane with hotels, restaurant, inn, shops, heliport, golf, etc with its name and in the name of “the Art of the good food”. All the center of the village belongs to him.
At the time of the construction of the highway A40 Mâcon, Geneva, Chamonix, he asks a direct exit to serve the small village of Vonnas and his hotel complex between Mâcon and Borough-in-Bresse. He obtains this special favor of an amount of 2,3 million euro.
In 1996, it belongs to the cooks of the G7 to Lyon for which it cooks the chicken sauce foie gras with crystallized garlic , become since one of its receipts headlights of the chart of its restaurant.
