White Camille

Camille Blanc (1847 - 1927) was the founder and first Maire of the commune of Beausoleil of 1904 with 1908 then re-elected in 1908, 1912, 1919, it resigned in 1925 for health reason. He is the son of François Blanc, the creator of the Casino of Monte Carlo and the Société of the sea bathings. After the death of his/her father in 1877 and of his mother-in-law in 1881, it succeeded to them the Presidency of this company with Monaco.

White Camille Maria in 1885 with Elizabeth Lanxade, but the couple did not have a child.

He asked the detachment of the future territory of Beausoleil, of with the commune of Turbie. Then, founded in 1898, the Real estate company of Monte Carlo Supérieur in order to arrange the site to enable him to take part in the exploitation hotels, restaurants and casino S in the health resorts then in vogue at that time which saw being born the modern Tourisme. This one will give rise to the commune of Beausoleil, founded by decree in 1904.

Camille Blanc was also a man impassioned by the horses. It will have the stud farm of Joyenval with Chambourcy (78) being inspired largely by the methods of his half-brother, the very famous owner-stockbreeder Edmond Blanc. He will be also President of the hippodrome of the VAr.

He is deceased on December 21st, 1927 with Beaulieu-sur-Mer (06) and was buried in Paris.
