Around film

• This film inspired the song of Iron Maiden of the same name as the film ( Where Eagles Dare ) on the album Piece off Mind (1983).

• three-engined the Ju 52 which one sees at the beginning and the end is one of three pertaining to the Swiss aviation which maintains them with the greatest care. For film it was repaints according to the photographs and diagrams published as from 1962 by the historian specialized Balcke. It kept this decoration of many years, for the greatest joy of the tourists. It should be noted that Iron Maiden was a nickname given by the Anglo-Saxons to Ju 52.

• the hunters whose heroes destroy a complete flotilla at the end of T-6 much less better are successful.

• the German helicopter also destroyed by the heroes is a pure fabrication of the scenario writers. The Luftwaffe had a flotilla of helicopters well but only as from February 1945 and the model of it was very different (birotor); the mountain-rescue was their only employment.
