Synopsis

When Italy was not a poor country is a documentary film in 16mm which tells the history of the realization of film of Joris Ivens Italy is not a poor country . The protagonists of this adventure are the Frères Taviani, and the realizers Valentino Orsini and Tinto Brass. In film of Missio, they tell the tribulations of film of Ivens, initially censured and then disappeared. For the first time at the cinema, a film tells the back of the decoration of the adventure of Ivens, the rescue of a positive copy of the film thanks to a Diplomatic bag transported by Brass.
