Westside Connection

Westside Connection is a group of Gangsta rap composed of Ice Cube, WC, and Mack 10. Their first album, Bow Down , reached the second place of the Billboard 200 in 1996. The group was formed at the time of the competition Eastcoast/Westcoat, which followed death Tupac Shakur. One of the most virulent competitions concerning the group opposes B-Real, of Cypress Hill, and Ice Cube. Thus, the song " King off the Hill" album Bow Down refers of scorn clearly that the group towards B-Real has.

After one long period of calm, the group reappears in 2003 with the second album Terrorist Threats , proposed thanks to individual the " Gangsta Nation" on which Nate Dogg appears. But the album does not have discounted success.

In 2005 Mack 10 gives up the group because of an argument with Ice Cube. It reproaches Ice Cube for not wanting to make the rounds, showing this last to give a greatter importance to its cinematographic career. Ice Cube thereafter gave a report on a forthcoming album of Westside Connection without Mack 10.

WC as for him took an active part in the seventh album of Ice Cube, Laugh Now, Cry Later, left in June 2006, while appearing on two tracks, thus satisfying the appetite of the fans of the old school (old school) West Coast.
