Weston is a city located in the county of Fairfield, in the State of the Connecticut (the United States). According to the census of 2000, Weston had a total population of 10.037 inhabitants.

According to the Office of the Census of the United States, surface of the east city of 53,6 km ², including 51,3 km ² of grounds and 2,4 km ² of water levels (either 4,39%).

Demography

According to the Census of 2000, there were 10.037 inhabitants, 3.312 households, and 2.811 families in the city. The Population density was of 195,7 hab/km ². There were 3.532 houses with a density of 68,9 maisons/km ². The ethnic decomposition of the population was: 95,75% white; 0,88% black; 0,11% Amerindian; 1,94% Asian S; 0,10% natives of the islands of the Peaceful ; 0,25% of the other races; 0,98% of two or more races. 2,05% of the population were Hispanique or Latino of any race.

There were 3.312 households, of which 49,8% had children of less than 18 years, 78,4% were married couples , 5,0% had a woman who was isolated relative, and 15,1% were not-family households. 11,2% of the households were made up people alone and 4,9% 65 years people alone or more. The average household comprised 3,03 people and the average family had 3,28 people.

In the city the population pyramid was 33,2% below 18 years, 2,7% from 18 to 24,25,5% from 25 to 44,28,9% from 45 to 64, and 9,7% which were 65 years old or more. The median age was 40 years. For 100 women, there were 96,5 men. For 100 18 year old women or more, there were 92,9 men.

The median income by household of the city was 146.997 US Dollars, and the median income by family was $162 032. The men had a median income of $100 000+ compared with $55 956 for the women. The Revenu per capita of the city was $74 817. 1,9% of the inhabitants and 1,3% of the families lived under the Poverty line. 1,3% of the people of less than 18 years and 1,5% of the people of more than 65 years lived under the poverty line.
