Western Digital is an American company of manufacture of computer material. It was founded in 1970 and started to design and manufacture hard drives in 1988. It is at present one of 6 large manufacturing of hard drives, with IBM, Seagate, Fujitsu, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies and Samsung.
