Western Climate Initiative

The in Regional Western Climate Action Initiative is the name of a launched collaboration in February 2007 between the governors of the Arizona, of the California, the New Mexico, the Oregon and Washington in order to bring to the level of the State an answer to the problems arising from the Climate changes.

To spring 2007, the governor of the Utah as well as the Prime Ministers for the Colombia-British and the Manitoba joined on the initiative. The Quebec, the Ontario and the Saskatchewan appear in it like observers.

The initiative aims at developing a Marché of regional carbon in order to reduce the emissions of Gaz to greenhouse effect slackened in the atmosphere.
