The corn is the most important cereal culture of Australia. The majority of the production come from varieties of winter, sown in autumn. The corn is cultivated in all the States, but between 60  % and 70  % of the production comes from Wheat Belt. These last years, the principal Australian corn purchasers were Iran, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, South Korea, Japan, Pakistan, and Malaysia. Western Australia bases its economy on the mining extraction: Iron ore, Alumina, Gas, Nickel and Gold.
