The Westerkerk (church of the west) is a church Dutchwoman located at Amsterdam.

The church was built by the same architect as the Noorderkerk, Hendrick de Keyser. Like the majority of the churches of the city, this one bears the name of its geographical position and not the name of a saint. Its construction started in 1620 with the expansion of the Protestant worship. The bell-tower (Westertoeren) culminates with 85 meters. One of the two organ of the church is exclusively reserved for the accompaniment of works of Bach.
