The West Lothian ( Lodainn year Iar in Gaelic) is one of 32 administrative divisions of the Scotland. West Lothian has as borders the town of Edinburgh in the east, the Scottish Borders and the South Lanarkshire in the south, the North Lanarkshire and Falkirk in the west.
West Lothian was formerly a county of Scotland and was sometimes called English name of Linlithgowshire , drawn from the name of the principal city.
