Wenger SA is a company of cutlery Suisse founded in 1893 and established with Delémont, Canton of the Jura.

It is only, with Victorinox, with officially being able to manufacture the Multi-fonction pocket knife.

Wenger employs approximately 150 collaborators.

History

The company Paul Boéchat & Co are founded in 1893 with Courtetelle. In 1901, it delivers the first multi-fonction pocket knifes for the armed .

In 1908, the director of the time Paul Wenger famous in Wenger & Co S.A. the company taken again meanwhile by a group of industrialists of Delémont.

In April 2005, the company is repurchased by its direct competitor Victorinox. In 2007, it concludes a partnership with the company Alinghi and produces two new knives dedicated to the Swiss challenge of the America' S Cup.

In August 2007, the judges of the Livre Guinness of the records decreed in Giant knife the 2007 title of “most multifunctional penknife”, knife “of pocket” of Wenger equipped with 87 tools and 141 functions, is the entirety of the functions available in the cutler.
