Wenedyk
The wenedyk (in French: vénédais) is a built Langue in manner " naturelle" by the Dutch translator Jan van Steenbergen. This one belongs to the fictitious country of the Republic of the Two Crowns, equivalent of the old Rzeczpospolita, in the Uchronie of Ill Bethisad. In the uchronie, vénédais it goes down from the Vulgar Latin , mixed with the Slavic Langue, because the Roman Empire romanisé the ancestors of the Polish. In fact, it is a research to see it what the would resemble Polish if it were a Romance language and not a Slavic language.
Mr. van Steenbergen was inspired by the languages Brithenig, Breathanach and Kerno. Vénédais is based only on the vulgar Latin, Polish and traditional Latin, and all the changes which made possible Polish, the changes phonological, morphological and of grammar are allotted to the vulgar Latin. On the Internet it is known like an example of alternative language, the brithening and the breathanach.
Vénédais cheek a main role in the uchronie of Ill Bethisad, where it is one of the two official languages of the Republic of the Two Crowns. In 2005, vénédais it was renovated according to the new discoveries of the history of Latin and also because this language appears in several chapters of a history proceeding in the universe of this uchronie.
