Wendell Mottley
Wendell Mottley (born on July 2nd, 1941) is a former athlete trinidain. Its athletic career lasted of 1958 to 1967.
In 1958, it gains the 100 yards of less than 17 years thanks to a time record of 10" 1 in Queen' S Royal College Sports.
In 1959, it gains with the same competition the 100, the 220, the 440 and the 880 yards.
In 1960, it joined the Université of Yale, to continue studies of economy there.
In 1964, it establishes the best world performances in room with 48" 0 out of 400 ayrds, 55" 5 out of 550 yards and 1 ' 09" 2 out of 600 yards. These good performances enabled him to obetnir, the same year, the medal of money on 400 m and the bronze medal of the relay 4x400 m to the Olympic Games of Tokyo.
In 1966, Mottley takes part in its only Plays of the Commonwealth and gains the gold medals on 440 yards and the relay 4x440 yards.
