Wendel Clark
Wendel L. Clark (born on October 25th, 1966 with Kelvington in the Saskatchewan with the Canada) is a former professional player of Hockey. He will have played the majority of his career within the Maple Leafs of Toronto of the National league of hockey.
Career in club
It begins its career junior in 1983 while playing for the Blades de Saskatoon from the Western Hockey League and it there plays two seasons as a defender and receives the Trophée Bill Hunter of the WHL as a better defender in 1985. During the summer which follows, it is selected in so much all first choice of the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey by the Maple Leafs of Toronto and signs while following its first professional contract.At the time of its first season with Maple Leafs, it changes station and becomes left winger. It registers then 34 goals and 47 points during this first season but harvest also 227 minutes of penalties. Selected in the standard team of the recruits of the season, it also takes down the records of Toronto of the number of goals for a recruit while being the best striker of the team. It misses all the same part of the season because of a wound contracted with the foot on a shooting of its fellow-member Chris Kotsopoulos. Because of its very good first season, he is finalist for the Trophée Calder of the best player in his first season but finally, Gary Suter gains the trophy. It takes part all the same in the 38 {{E}} Match of the Stars of the LNH during the season.
In 1991, he becomes the new captain of the team to replace Rob Ramage and occupies the station during three seasons before joining the Nordiques of Quebec at the time of a massive exchange players between the two franknesses. Mats Sundin then makes the way return of Clark. He plays only the season 1994-95 with the Scandinavian ones: following the removal of the team in the Colorado to become the Avalanche, it is annoyed with the direction of the team and will join the Islanders of New York in return of Claude Lemieux. Once again, it does not remain a long time with its new team and turns over before the end of the season 1995-96 with Tortonto. During this exchange, Mathieu Schneider and D.J. Smith are sent to Toronto in return of Darby Hendrickson, Sean Haggerty, Kenny Jonsson and the first choice of fishing out 1997 of Toronto, choice which proves to be Roberto Luongo.
In July 1998, it is signed as a free agent by the Lightning de Tampa Bay but finishes the season with the Red Wings de Détroit and the following season, it plays at beginning with the Blackhawks of Chicago but finally finished the season with Toronto. It consequently decides occasion to put an end to its career at the conclusion of the season.
