  • At the conclusion of the regular season 2006-2007, the club finishes in the 7th place of the Pro has while having in particular dominated Pau-Orthez at the end of the season in Béarn. Cholet was eliminated (0-2) by the Chorale from Roanne in quarterfinals from the play-off.

Formation

The club, founded in 1975, makes its beginnings in the 1st division at the time of the 1987-1988, after a fulgurating rise of the last to the first division in only 12 years. In addition to obtaining results more than honourable since its accession in the elite, having always been classified in the 10 first of the regular season with an exception, the club is very respected for its training policy, one of most important of France. The club put much on its training center which provides to season after season a good part of professional manpower. At the time of the season 2004-2005 for example, 10 of the 12 professional players resulted from the training center. Antoine Rigaudeau, Jim Bilba and more recently Mickaël Gelabale made their beginning there. Hope of a city, Cholet Basket is at the origin of the development of Cholet and its dynamics.
