It is located at the Confluent Ruisseau of Achen and the Saar, on the slope is Vallée. It still preserves some firm dominated by the Château and the vestiges of the Chapelle.

History

A furnace bridge with Junon and two Bas-relief S Gallo-Roman discovered in the variation and partially employed again in the Chapelle testifies to the seniority of the site. From the administrative point of view, the variation forms initially part of the canton of Bouquenom of 1790 with 1793, before being placed in that of Rohrbach and being attached to Kalhausen in 1811.

Castle

With the primitive Château of the family of Weidesheim in 1380 destroys succeeds a building rebuilt in the middle of the 15th century and transformed at the end of the same century per Simon of Bitche the old one, which also makes raise the Chapelle. In 1728, the Seigneurie is acquired by Pierre d' Hausen whose descendants still preserves the field.

Castle of the 15th century, there remains the Donjon, which seems related with the German Turmburgen . This high building of massed plan, comprising four levels of openings, is covered with a steeply sloping Toit with long sides and croups and Tuile S punts. Joined with the southern frontage, the turn of the Staircase in Screw, to compare with that of the Castle of Rahling dated 1620, is added at the 16th century or the 17th century, at the time when the building is partially pierced. Buildings agricultural very altered, equipped with gun double ières of the 16th century, close the court 16th century. They are preceded in the west by new the Château by neo-classic style rebuilds the day before the Révolution for Dominique Ignace Charles d' Hausen, adviser with the Parlement of Metz, future appointed of the Moselle and Maire of Sarreguemines.

The weapons of the family of Hausen are of azure to the Ancre of money, put out of stake, accosted of two star S of very the . (They are drawn on the town hall of Kalhausen)

Vault

In the vicinity immediate of the Castle to which it was used as Chapelle castrale, the Chapelle dedicated to Sainte Beard and not to holy Martin like had decided it the restorer of the Chapelle in the years 1975, is reduced to its chorus since the Second world war. Rebuilt at the end of the 15th century for Simon of Bitche old the, known as one of Gentersberg, it has a rectangular chorus of plan, formerly arched of warheads. Two Low-relief S Gallo-Roman in re-employment, of which one represents the goddess Junon with its Paon, and the triumphal arch into full clotheshanger installed built-in Gothic masonry testify to an occupation as of the Antiquité then of the existence of a Romance Chapelle at the time .

Two parts of Goldsmithery in money, coming from the Vault, are now preserved at the church of Kalhausen. The Ostensoir carries on the packsaddlled one of the foot a not easily readable punch, which could be that of Joseph the Pear, goldsmith to Bouquenom. Hallmarked after 1772 with the Currency of Nancy, the coin shows a great stylistic delay with its decoration of interlacing on the top of the foot, the gadroons at the base of the stem, the reduced size and the shape of the rays of glory. The Ciborium with the punch of Charles-Nicolas the Pear, receipt Master-goldsmith with Bitche in 1759, another member of the great dynasty of the goldsmiths of this name installed in the east native of the Moselle region, present of the similar characteristics and the archaisms more accentuated even: a Vegetable decoration pierced on the packsaddlled one of the foot, the gadroons on the foot and the lid, of the flanges on the stem and at the base of the cross placed in damping.
