A webmail , Anglicism sometimes translated into email Web or transport Web , is a Interface Web making possible the emission, the consultation and the handling of emails directly on the Web since a navigator, contrary to the Client of transport which allows these operations starting from a Logiciel locally on a personal computer. The courrielleurs Web rest in general on access protocols to mail servers.

Among the engines of known courrielleurs Web, one finds: IMP/HORDE (at free.fr for example), RoundCube, SquirrelMail ( webmail in php)… However, some of them correctly do not manage the use of several languages or mathematical symbols (Courriel and Unicode); this defect is in particular present on the courrielleurs Web of Free.
