Webley Mk I-VI gauges .455
The revolvers Webley & Scott Mark I with V in gauge .455 Webley were lawful in the British Army of 1887 with 1915. Mk VI succeeded to them of 1915 to 1947.
Mechanism
These British revolvers has a whole a stick in nozzle of corbin and a mechanism with double action. Mk 6 àa a long gun and a stick with right slope Like any revolver with crack, the barrel is interdependent of the gun and the unit rocks to the bottom (bolt located on the left) for the loading and unloading of the weapon. In end of the road of opening, this ratchet is disconnected via a notch, making it possible star to return in place for recharging. The bodies of aiming are fixed. The plates of stick are out of hardened rubber. All these weapons have a ring for dragonnes.

- Mk 1: original model adoptee in 1887.
- Mk 2: modsèle improved (shield of barrel, reinforced dog and round stick). Adoptee in 1894.
- Mark 3: adoptee in 1897, locking of the reinforced barrel. Dismountable barrel. From 1905, some were available with a gun of 12,5 cm.
- Mark 4: Adoptee in 1899, Mk 3 fabriqyé in a new steel. Reduced dog. New barrel. From 1905, some were available with a gun of 12,5 cm.
- Mk 5: adoptee in 1913. Mk 4 reinforced for the shooting of the cartridges with powder without smoke.
- Mk 6: Mk 5 equipped with a long gun. The new shape of stick.

Diffusion
From 1887 to 1915, the revolvers of ordinance Mk I-VI knew the Guerre of Boers, the Révolte of the Boxers and the Great War. Manufactured with 300000 specimens by Webley between 1915 and 1921 then by the royal Arsenal of Enfield, large Mk VI was largely used by the Great Britain, the New Zealand, the Australia and the South Africa during the Second world war and until the end of the years 1950. It was then replaced by the Browning Hi-Power. It constituted the weapon of service of many officers and police officers of the countries of the the Commonwealth, the FINE, FFL and the WILL GO.
