Web off Mimicry

Web off Mimicry is the name of the label created by Trey Spruance, one of the members of the musical group Mr. Bungle. The label was initially created like a fictitious label at the request of it Revolver distributer to lodge the albums of the Secret Chiefs 3. It then accommodated the Estradasphere group, formed by friends of Trey Spruance.

Thereafter, other groups without label, primarily localized in bay of San Francisco, came to pack the catalog of Mimicry. The main part of the sales of the label rests on the albums of the Secret Chiefs 3, and to a lesser extent Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Estradasphere. The survival of the label is due mainly to a very solid base of former fans of Mr. Bungle.

In 2006, the label carries out a moult while letting leave Estradasphere and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum for the label The End Recordings, and by modifying its approach basically, from now on less directed artists . Moreover certain works will be distributed more only on support vinyl.
