Wearing of Lille (subway inhabitant of Lille)

The station Port of Lille is a station of the line 2 of the subway inhabitant of Lille.

Situation

This station owes its name with the river port of Lille. It is located at the intersection of the boulevard of the Moselle and the street of Turenne, where its two entries (each side of the street) are located.

General information

Station built on three underground levels, profiting from two accesses on the surface:
  • level -1: sale and composting of the tickets,
  • level -2: intermediate level allowing for choice of the direction of the way
  • level -3: access to line 1, center lanes and opposite quays

Description

The architect paid homage to the port activity: To level -1, false bundles recall the activity of loading and unloading of the fabric bundles at the time of the textile period of the city. At the intermediate level, a prow (stylized) of ship leaves the wall and advances in the stage.
