Weapons of the Earth of the Medium

Aeglos
Aeglos (sometimes spelled Aiglos ) is the lance of Gil-Galad, last High-King of the Ñoldor.
Andúril

Anglachel
Anglachel is one of the two swords forged by Eöl the Black Elf in black metal by him created, the Galvorn. Thingol receives it from Eöl in exchange of the permission for this last of living with Nan Elmoth. Several centuries later, Beleg takes it in arms manufacture of Menegroth when it leaves to research Túrin, in spite of the dark presentiment of the queen Melian. When Beleg finds Túrin, removed by Orcs, it releases it, but in the darkness, Túrin, taking it for an Orc, seizes themselves of Anglachel and kills Beleg. It is then led in a state second to Nargothrond by Gwindor. There, it makes reforge the sword and renames it Gurthang, “Steel of Death”.
Angrist
Angrist is a dagger forged by the Nain Telchar for the Ñoldo Curufin. Beren seizes some and makes use of it to extract a Silmaril from the Crown from Iron from Morgoth. Its blade breaks when Beren tries to tear off a second from it.
Anguirel
Anguirel is the second sword forged in the Galvorn by Eöl. His/her son Maeglin conceals it to him by leaving Nan Elmoth, and it disappears with him when he is killed by Tuor during the Chute of Gondolin.
Aranrúth
Aranrúth , “Anger Royal”, is the name of the sword of the king Thingol of Doriath.

Glamdring

Gurthang
Gurthang , “Steel of Death”, is the name of Anglachel after it was reforged for Túrin Turambar, which will make use of it to kill the dragon Glaurung. Túrin commits suicide shortly after while being thrown on its blade, which breaks.
Gúthwinë
Gúthwinë is the name of the sword of Éomer.
Hadhafang
Hadhafang is the sword of Arwen in adapted films of the novel of J.R.R. Tolkien, the Lord of the Rings , where it does not appear. This name was however forged by Tolkien: it appears in the Étymologies ( The Lost Road , p. 388).
Herugrim
Herugrim is the name of the sword of the king Théoden of Rohan.
Narsil

Narsil is the name of the sword of Elendil, which is broken at the time of the combat between this last and Sauron. It is reforged at the end of the Third Age and takes the name of Andúril , “Flame of the West”.
Orcrist
Orcrist , “Splitting machine of Orcs”, is the name of the sword-sister of Glamdring, discovered by Thorin II Ecu-of-Oak in a den of Trolls. At its death, it is placed on its bosom, in the middle of Erebor, where it shines as soon as an enemy approaches.
Ringil
Ringil is the sword of Fingolfin, High-King of the Ñoldor, with which it delivers a singular combat against Morgoth, the Lord of Darkness.
