Waves Without Borders
Waves Without Borders , founded in 1998, is probably oldest associative Télévision of Île-de-France.
Waves Without Frontières has as goals to promote the public access to the Média S, to organize the diffusion of Film S produced except commercial standards, to promote the emergence of new media, to produce programs Audiovisuel S and Multimédia S, to form with the audio-visual expression, to widen the imaginary and creative field and research.
Waves Without Borders, chain of access public, associative, participative obtains Authorization to emit temporary each year of 1998 with 2003 (date on which the authorizations are not delivered any more) and contribute to the Invitation to tender for an authorization to emit permanent.
First chain Paris ienne to be functioned according to the principle of the public access, Ondes Without Borders opened the antenna the May 25th 1998 on the microwave channel 36 and obtains its first authorizations. It diffused its emissions one line via CuSeeMe and of RealVideo.
It is the only local chain on Paris to have emitted 24 hours a day during 7 months of 1998 with 1999.
Taking into account the birth of other free media in the Paris region, it obtains some 3 hours authorizations per day as from the year 2000.
The candidature of Waves Without Borders for a permanent frequency on T.N.T not having been retained, we take note of this blocking and study other possibilities.
Waves Without Frontières is Co-founder of the permanent Coordination of the free media.
Waves Without Borders as of May 1998 request the Right for the associative chains to obtain authorizations to emit permanent, right reserved at the time at the business firms as well as creation of a bottom of support comparable with that which exists for the radio S.
