Watt-peak
The Watt-peak is a unit representing the electric output maximum delivered by a solar electrical installation for a standard sunning of 1000W/m ² to 25°C. It is generally expressed by the denomination WC or Wp (of English Watt-peak). The principal use of this unit is the comparison of the output and the price of photovoltaic materials.
To give an order of idea, 1kWc represents the power of 10m ² of solar modules with a current technology, that is to say an energy of 900 kWh in Lille and 1200 kWh in Nice per annum. If the temperature is not 25°C, it is necessary to count a loss of output of 0.4% per degree.
