The water spray is an installation of Brumisation. It has mainly two objectives the fight against Incendie S of liquid Hydrocarbure or others Inflammable S and screens with the thermal radiation.

In France, it is the Zeus company repurchased by Desautel which developed its applications. Various patents were deposited on this subject and of the marks were deposited.

Principles and implementation

The system makes it possible to protect from the goods and the people against the risk Incendie. Its implementation automatic returns it operative day and night.

The three basic functions of an installation are of:

  • To detect an early fire (manually or automatically);
  • Alarm to inform the people in the vicinity and to prevent the means of fire fighting;
  • According to the needs, it possible to extinguish the fire, to remove its development or to contain it.

The protective system sets fire to by water spray consists in delivering the quantity of fog ready to fight against the type of fire dreaded on a zone when a fire is detected. The brumisation is maintained as much as the extinction is not carried out or until the intervention of the Secours.

The system effectiveness rests on the adequacy between the type of fog delivered compared to the type of fire, the nature of the protected goods (calorific Potentiel and Input rating, Propagation velocity, solid, Liquide or gas…), their mode of storage and the system of detection set up.

Implementation

The elements which take part in the operation of the water spray are the following:
  1. Source of water. It delivers the characteristics necessary for the production of fog with a very high intrinsic reliability.
  2. Pipings
  3. * the diagrid;
  4. * antennas;
  5. * candles of the head to the antenna;
  6. Tube of fog. Those can be of type very different. The flow and the quality of fog are the two important components.
