Washington Monument State Park
The Washington Monument , located in the County of Washington (Maryland), to the east of the the United States, pays homage to the first US president George Washington. It is in the Washington Monument State Park , with a few kilometers in the east of the town of Boonsboro, and close to the Monument Knob (470 m) in the South Mountain. Washington Monument was set up in 1827 and was thus the first monument built with the memory of George Washington.
