Gameplay

The player directs a Soldat which can fight with foot or take the control of a 4x4, of a Tank or of a Avion. A part can accommodate to 32 players according to the waiters and the capacities of connection of the host. It is also possible to play up to 4 in screen splity starting from the same console. The play does not propose a mode solo.

Several modes of play are available like Deathmatch, Deathmatch by team, Capture of the flag or Zone. This last consists in taking the control of a maximum of strategic points on the chart and resisting more the possible for a long time the enemy attacks. This mode recquiert team work and strategy.

Vehicles and armament

On the ground, a soldier has by defect a Couteau and of a Pistolet but it can recover various weapons or accessories: a Rifle of attack, a Rocket launcher, a Rifle of precision, a Lance-flame, Twin with laser aiming (also useful to request artillery shootings), grenades with fragmentation and landmines. A soldier has free access to any vehicle, provided that it is not already occupied by an enemy.

The vehicles make it possible to carry one to see two other comrades in arms: on the aircraft, the passenger is tiny room to the role of spectator, but in the Tank it can open the trap door to use a personal weapon and in the jeep, the occupant with the back with the responsibility for the automatic Mitraillette.

The plane of Eucadian Forces is the Warhawk , that of Chernovan Forces is the Nemesis . To fly the plane, the player can either choose the usual orders with the analogical stick, or to use the recognition of movement of the lever Sixaxis. The plane can be equipped with air-to-air missiles, missiles with homing device, spangles of jamming, Bombe at submunitions, a case furtive technology which make the plane undetectable during a few seconds, of Mine S air, a weapon with directed energy generating a kind of Electric arc or of missile TOW.

anti-aircraft guns, Turret S of surface-to-air Missile and Mitrailleuse S are also laid out on the air of play. Their control is essential to counter the air offensives.

Rank, not of experiment and rewards

The play proposes a system of career based on points of experiment glanés while taking part in classified parts. There are 20 ranks different going from Recrue to General. The points of experiment make it possible to contribute for the world classification on line or to increase the possibilities of personalization of the characters and the planes.

23 Médaille S, 27 Insigne S (on three different levels: Gangster, Master and Warhawk) and 29 Ruban S can also be gained by carrying out some pre-necessary.

Statistics

A a whole battery of statistics is at the disposal of the player to locate his performances: classification on line, times of play, number of victory/defeats, type of points gained (combat, team, negative, no-claims bonus), total of Frag S , of deaths, victims, precision according to the weapons, etc Of the Graphique S represent over the duration the evolution of its performances.

Realization

Influences

Warhawk is inspired by two real planes: the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, dating from the Second world war, and the A10 “Warthog”, a plane still used nowadays. The design of Némésis has influenced him by the Luftwaffe of 1945, in particular of the Messerschmitt Me 262 and the Lockheed Martin F-35B.

Beta test of the play began the May 24th 2007 on the PlayStation Network.

Exploitation

The play was marketed at the same time in Téléchargement and on support Blu-ray. The downloadable version is proposed with 29,99 € ($39,99 on the US Blind). The Blu-ray version is sold in bundle with a Microphone-helmet Bluetooth with the price of a normal play, that is to say 60 €.

To note

Warhawk is also the name of a play developed by SingleTrac and published by Sony THIS in 1995 on PlayStation. It is not a question strictly speaking of a Remake even if the two plays share common points, in particular the vehicle high-speed motorboat, Warhawk.
