Warbird is a term Aéronautique forged with the the United States at the end of the Second world war and indicating the apparatuses designed at the time of the conflict and currently preserved in a state of vol.

History of the term

Historically, this term did not indicate that the apparatuses of hunting. Later, the bombers, apparatuses of transport of troops, of drive, and other aircraft Militaires were comparable. At present, for the purists, Warbird is a military aircraft with propellers born between 1935 and 1952.

However, the term is sometimes also used to indicate the military jets having been reformed and maintained in-flight status by organizations - or private individuals - civilians.

Lastly, the Warbird term is sometimes used to indicate the authentic counterparts of planes, built according to modern technologies.
