War of the Hooks and Cod

The war of the Hooks and the Cod , in Dutch Hoekse in Kabeljauwse twisten , is a Civil war which was held in Holland and in Western Frise in second half of the 14th century and at the 15th century, during nearly 100 years, between 1350 and 1490.

This conflict was carried out by the counts de Hollande, but the true cause was the fight to be able it between the Bourgeoisie of the cities and the dominant Noblesse. The fraction of the Cabillauds was made up in majority of middle-class man of the progressists cities of Holland. The fraction of the Hameçons represented the preserving nobility.
