War of position

The war of position is the antithesis of the Mobile warfare, it consists of a Attaque since a strengthened fixed point: sliced, extremely…

During the first part of the Second world war, the French Armies were in parking behind the Ligne Maginot (strengthened line located on the frontage is France), thinking that the Germans would arrive by the Alsace-Lorraine.

During the two world wars, the periods of war of movement and war of position followed one another: the Armée S moving insert the enemy lines… then the armies immobilize one opposite the other and the war of position (or war of Tranchée) begins… then the mobile warfare begins again when one of the armies takes the top.
