Wang Jian
Wang Jian (1598 - 1677) was a painter Chinese of the beginning of the dynasty Qing belonging to the Orthodoxe École of the landscape. It belongs to the group called " four Wang ".
Wang Jian was born with Taicang in the Jiangsu. It belonged to the same clan as the painter Wang Shimin, who became his friend. It resulted from a family of well-read men, it grows surrounded by works of Article.
He was civil servant in the administration of the Ming during a few years. He was in station with Lianzhou. After having resigned, it turned over to Taicang.
Wan Jian was strongly influenced by the technique of Wang Meng, in particular concerning the technique of painting to the vertical brush.
