Wampus
Wampus is the main character of the series éponyme cartoons, created by Marcel Navarro, written by Franco Frescura and illustrated by Luciano Bernasconi, published with the editions Lug. Six episodes are initially appeared in 1969. A seventh episode, already realized, was not published, due to censure, that in 1983, at the time of a complete republication of the series in the review Ombrax (N°211 with 233). The series was started again by Jean-Marc Lofficier in the new version of the review Fantask , then in Mustang N°303 to 306 following the stop of Fantask. If Lofficier had replaced Frescura with the scenario, Bernasconi was always with the brushes. This resurrection gave place to multiple meetings with the protagonists of the Lug universe.
Wampus is a polymorphic extraterrestrial creature which wants absolutely to destroy the Earth. Only the French journalist Jean Sten knows his projects and tries to ruin them. Anti-hero malfaisant in the line of the Fantômas or Diabolik , Wampus is really a character out-standards.
