Walther P38
Adopted in 1938, the Walther P38 is a Pistolet Double semi-automatic action used by the German army during the Second world war.
History
Developed in the current of the Years 1930 to replace celebrates it Luger P08 growing old, it is the heir to protype AP (Armee Pistol) developed in 1936. The orders of Wehrmacht were delivered by Walther but also by Mauser and Spreewerke.After 1945, it was used as arms semi-lawful by the France (Police force, Armée, Gendarmerie), the Yugoslavia, the Portugal, the Austria, Israel, the Albania, the Norway and the Czechoslovakia.
Particularly precise and reliable and of a comfortable use for its time, it was produced after the war by using an alloy of alluminium and was marketed under the name of Walther P1 (lawful model of the Bundeswehr between 1957 and 1995, replaced by the HK P8).
