Walter Zapp

Walter Zapp (September 4th 1905, Rīga, Latvia - July 17th 2003, Binningen, Swiss) is the inventor of the Camera miniature Minox.

Autodidact, it works on the miniaturization of a camera as of the beginning of the Années 1930. He deposits the Brevet of Minox in 1936 in Estonia. The apparatus is produced in Latvia starting from 1938. After the Second world war, it resells its patent with a German company .
