Walter Stuart (6th Stewart)
Walter Stuart (1292 - April 9th 1326), was 6th High Steward of Scotland (Large Seneshal).
Walter or Gaultier Stuart was the son of James Stuart 5th High Steward of Scotland (death in 1309).
It succeeded his father like High Steward of Scotland ( Grand Seneshal ), load who was hereditary in his family since his ancestor and homonym the britto-Norman baron Walter FiztAlan died in 1177 and 1st High Stewart of Scotland.
Faithful partisan and comrade in arms of Robert Bruce, he married in 1315 his Marjorie daughter, (born in 1297) and dead the March 2nd 1316, by giving to birth to their only son the future king:
