Walter Simonson

Walter Simonson (September 2nd 1946 -) is a Dessinateur of Comic S American.

Biography

It started its career in the Seventies while being illustrated on titles like Sword & Sorcery , Manhunter or Doctor Fate . It also drew many episodes of Battlestar Galactica or of Star Wars (when the cartoon was published by Marvel Comics).

At the exit of the studies, it creates the characters of the Star Slammers, which will be the subject of a " graphic novel" in the collection Epic de Marvel, then of a mini-series, ten years later, at Malibu/Bravura. He worked for the majority of the large editors of comic books (Marvel Comics, cd. Comics, Dark Horse Comics) during his career. He in particular worked with archie Goodwin (Manhunter), Frank Miller and Louise Simonson (its own wife, on the series X-Factor ).

He is especially known for his work on the characters of Thor (starting from number 337 until the #382), of the Fantastic Four , of Orion at cd. (character inherited the series of Kirby Jack) and Elric Nécromancien but also for the series Robocop Vs. Terminator , whose scenario was written by Frank Miller.

Also scenario writer, it worked on Avengers with John Buscema or on Wolverine with Mike Mignola. Its drawing very stylized and dynamic implement of the features of movements, the very expressive onomatopoeias (often realized by John Workman) and a direction of the rather thorough design.
