Walter Auerbach

Walter Auerbach (born the July 22nd 1905 with Hamburg; died the March 23rd 1975 with Bonn) was a German Political personality . Auerbach was social democrat and resistant antifascist.

Walter Auerbach studied the German letters, the Histoire and the Sociologie with Hamburg, Freiburg and Cologne. In 1929 it obtained its doctorate with a titrated thesis " Press and conscience of classe". It joined the social democrat Parti Germany dice 1926.

From 1930 to 1933, Auerbach worked like permanent trade-union. May 2nd, 1933 it was thrown in prison by the Nazis. It however succeeded in fleeing on May 16th with Amsterdam, where it worked as writer with the service of information " Fascisme" of the general secretary of the International federation of the workmen of transport.

In October 1939, he emigrated in England with his family. From October 1969 in April 1972 he was Secretary of State near the Federal minister for Work.
