Walt Disney World Railroad

Walt Disney World Railroad is the name of the train encircling the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World Resort.

Based on a footing of three feet, like his/her brother the Disneyland Railroad, most usually used in North America, the railroad is made of a loop continues turning around the park, although there exists a long siding bringing to the workshops located in the Central Shop North .

All the engines roll to the diesel, which is less polluting and less expensive than coal, wood or the very heavy " C" bunker; (or fuel oil " C"), usually carburizing used for the engines with vapor.

These means of transport move more than one million visitors per annum.

Each train is composed of an engine, a coach with coal and five coaches of passengers of the panoramic type with opening on the right-sided (interior of the park). Each one can carry 360 passengers and 2 wheelchairs.

The way

The Walt Disney World Railroad serves Main Street U.S.A, Frontierland and Mickey' S Toontown Fair. It modified forever since the opening. Only some buildings are located apart from the perimeter delimited by the way. There is Space Mountain, a half of the Pirates off Caribbean and a half of Splash Mountain.

The trains spend 20 minutes to carry out the turn of the park and the precision is of rigor for the drivers. The trains traverse the way all the day apart from the time beach planned for fires of artifices. The reason is that the zone of shooting is located behind Fantasyland, near the way and thus to protect the engines, the visitors and the employees.
