Walt Disney Television Animation

Walt Disney Television Animation is a division of Walt Disney Television , subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company created in 1984 to produce in particular programs animated for the Télévision.

These programs are series rather known like the Band with Picsou , the Adventures of Super Baloo , Myster Mask , Gargoyles or most recent Kim Possible .

History

In 1984, with the reorganization of the Walt Disney Company following the arrival of Michael Eisner, several organizers of Walt Disney Pictures are gathered in a special entity intended for the production of animations for television. Among the organizer-keys having worked in this entity, it is possible to quote:

  • Tom Ruzicka, become since at Universal Animation Studios
  • Bill Large, former president of Jumbo Pictures, creator of Doug and since at Idealab!.
  • Sharon Morrill, named thereafter president of DisneyToon Studios

The buildings of these studios in the beginning were located in those of the Motion Picture and Television Academy at North Hollywood with a second building on Cahuenga Avenue . Little before 1998, the second building moved in the Fairmont building with Burbank.

In 1998, the head office of Walt Disney Television Animation becomes the Frank G. Wells Building of the head office of Walt Disney Company.

The studios of production moved them in 2002 within the complex Disney of Glendale on Sonora Avenue.

In 2003, a division of the studios located in the buildings of Walt Disney Animation Australia was renamed DisneyToon Studios and was dedicated to the production of feature films under the control of Walt Disney Feature Animation. Disney announced its closing in 2006.

President de Walt Disney Television Animation, Barry Blumberg announced his retirement in November 2005 and Mike Moon became since February 2006, the vice-president of the televised series.

At the end of July 2006, Walt Disney Television Animation and Toei Animation announce an association for the production of a series in animation of named synthesis Robodies or Robodeiz . The series will be seems it diffused on Jetix or Toon Disney ert will consist of miniature robots invented by young a 12 years designer.
