Walpola Rahula
Walpola Rahula (1906 - 1998) is a Buddhist monk sri lankais of the school of the Theravada. He was doctor in Philosophie and director of the Kelaniya university.
He went in France to propagate the lesson of Buddhism Theravada, and lived 25 years there. He wrote in particular the teaching of the Buddha .
If Walpola Rahula were a monk very scholar, it was not orthodoxe and expressed sights close to the Bouddhisme mahayana as for the subitism of the awakening.

It was born in 1907 in a small village from the south from Sri Lanka, is 13 years old it entered the monastic community (Sangha). He undertook studies in various fields: - Sinhala - Faded - Sanskrit - Buddhist Religion - History - Philosophy
