Wallace Roney

Wallace Roney (born the May 25th 1960 with Philadelphia) is a trumpet player of Jazz. He studied at the Howard University of Washington and with the Berklee College off Music.

Roney belonged to the Jazz Messengers of Art Blakey with the beginning of the year 1980 then quintet of Tony Williams. In 1991, Roney played with Miles Davis with the Jazz festival of Montreux. With died of Miles Davis, Roney made a round with its memory with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Williams. For its album Tribute to Miles it has was rewarded by a Grammy Award.

Roney is married with the pianist Geri Allen; they live with Montclair in the New Jersey.
