Wallaby

The wallaby (indigenous word of origin " Eora" , a tribe originating in the surroundings of Sidney) is a vernacular name given to a whole whole of marsupials similar to Kangourou S of small size. There is no strict definition of the mot. One calls wallaby all Macropodidé which is regarded as not being enough large to in a strict sense belong to the Kangourou S or which did not receive another denomination. It is theoretically necessary to eliminate the Wallaroo S from them: Macropus robustus and Macropus bernardus, intermediaries between kangaroos and wallabies.

In France there is a breeding of wallaby to the Botanical garden of Paris.

One can distinguish, within the wallabys, the Petrogale S (or wallabys of the rocks), the hares-wallabies, and the Thylogale S (or let us pademelons, wallabys dwarf and forest).

To live in a pocket

The wallabys and the other large marsupials put low only one small and carry it in a vast pocket, characteristic of the marsupial . Even completely separated, the small continuous one to sleep or to let themselves transport in the pocket.
